Dmitri Dell Young (born October 11, 1973 in Vicksburg, Mississippi) is a Major League Baseball player who presently plays by having a Detroit Tigers; now existence utilized primarily as a designated hitter, he has also played substantially as a left fielder and first baseman since reaching the majors within 1996, & as well now and then played third base. Young occurs as switch-hitter and throws right-dextrorotary. He has the career .293 batting average with 126 home runs and 504 RBI in nine seasons. In April 4, 2005, Young joined George Bell and Tuffy Rhodes as the single players to hit triplet home runs on Opening Day within Detroit's 11-Two convince a Kansas City Royals. He is also referred to as "DaMeatHook". Dmitri's immature brother Delmon, a previous first draft pick, presently plays in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays' minor league system.
